the Racing Rules of Sailing, Gulf
Yachting Association Regulations for
Sanctioned Events (which can be found at www.gya.org
), One Design Class Rules when not in conflict with the foregoing and FYC
Sailing Instructions.

Scheduled
Races & Scoring
One (1) race is scheduled for PHRF/Portsmouth; five
(5) races will be attempted for Capdevielle, Finn, Rhodes 19 and Fish classes
will attempt five (5) races; No score shall be excluded in the foregoing
classes (this changes RRS
A2). Five (5) or more will be attempted for
Sunfish, Laser, and Junior divisions (Laser Radial, 420, Optis and O’Pen Bic);
the number of races completed to allow a throw-out shall be six (6); in all
divisions, one (1) race completed shall constitute a series. Scoring will be in
accordance with Appendix A of the RRS
except as modified herein. Ties will be resolved in accordance with RRS A8.

1.1 The
regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing and the prescriptions thereto.
1.2 The
Regatta is classified Category “C” per rule 79 and Regulation 20, and by ICJA
rule 2.6.1.
2.1 The
regatta is open to J/24 Class boats as defined by the IJCA Rules.
2.2 Eligible
boats may register by completing the attached form and sending it, together
with the required fees, as shown on the form, or by registering at the event
website.

The entry fee will
include: All social activities, launching, hauling, and rafting facilities, and
trailer parking.

5.1 Early on-line
registration is encouraged and is available at www.fairhopeyachtclub.com
5.2 The Registration Fee
is $40.00 ($35.00 USSA members) if registered by September 15, 2010. After September 15 add $10.00
5.3 All boats will be
subject to random inspection at any time during the regatta.
The
Sailing Instructions will be available at late registration on September 24.
7.1 Directions and
related information are available at www.fairhopeyachtclub.com
7.2 Launching and rafting facilities will be
provided on a first come first served basis. All aspects of the launching,
rafting, and hauling process will be subject to supervision by FYC and/or
Regatta personnel.
The
courses will be windward/leeward with 4 or 5 legs.
9.1 The
scoring system is as follows: The Low Point System defined in RRS Appendix A as
modified herein.
9.2 Five
races are scheduled. One completed race is required to constitute a regatta.
9.3 No race
shall be discarded. This changes RRS A2.
Trophies
will be awarded to the top three boats.
11.1 Competitors
participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See rule 4, Decision to
Race.
11.2 The
organizing authority will not accept any liability for material damage or
personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or
after the regatta.

NOTICE OF REGATTA –
Addendum 3 to Wadewitz Regatta NOR
1. Rules
1.1 The regattas will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing.
1.2 Competitors may switch
among Standard, Radial, or 4.7 rigs, on land only. All sails used must match the registered sail
number.
1.3 All hails will use the last
4 digits of the sail number.
1.4 The organizing authority
may issue colored bands to be applied to the mast.
2. Eligibility and Entry
2.1 Members of the ILCA who
have reached the age of 35 by the first day of each regatta may enter those
regattas.
2.2 Registration fee:
$50.00 This fee includes continental
breakfast Saturday and Sunday morning, dinner Saturday night and one (1)
t-shirt.
2.3 Entries may be made by
completing registration with the Fairhope Yacht Club (www.fairhopeyachtclub.com) and
paying the required registration fee. Registration forms will also be available
on Saturday morning, 0900 – 1030, at the Fairhope Yacht Club.
2.4 If there are 15 or more
pre-registered Masters, the PRO and Regatta Chairperson may designate a
separate start for Masters versus sailing with the Laser Open fleet.

4. Inspection and Measurement
Boats, gear, and sails
may be inspected at any time for conformance to Class Rules.
5. Sailing Instructions
The sailing instructions
will be available at registration.
6. Courses
Courses will
as shown in the sailing instructions.
7. Scoring
7.1 A minimum of one race must be completed to
constitute a regatta.
7.2 When fewer than 5 races
have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race
scores.
7.3 The NA Masters handicap
system will be used to score the overall series. For each race:
Apprentices - add 3 points - Masters - add 2 points - Grand Masters -
add 1 point - Great Grand Masters - add 0.
7.4 If Masters sail in a
combined fleet with Laser Open class, the handicap system will be applied to
the raw score in the combined fleet.
8. Prizes
The
following trophies will be presented if there are less than 30 pre-registered
Masters: 1st through 5th overall
If more than
30 pre-registered, additional prizes for age groups may be awarded at discretion
of the Regatta Chairperson.
9. Disclaimer of Liability
Competitors
