Congratulations to Johnny Roberts (Fine
Line), winner of the Turner Trophy for 1st Overall in the
Dauphin Island Regatta; to Fred Chadsey (Kaotic), winner of
the Buccaneer Yacht Club Trophy for 1st Overall PHRF Non-Spinnaker
Fleet; to Patty Johnson (Purple Haze), winner of the
Raphael's Trophy for 1st All Female Crew; Buzzy Riis (Akvavit),
winner of the Commodore John Glover Trophy for 1st Overall
Portsmouth Spinnaker; and to all FYC competitors for bringing back
home to Fairhope Yacht Club the Governor's Trophy, awarded to the
Alabama club with the most placing boats. |

"The Boat Barn" is Open: Food service in The
Boat Barn has begun. Dinner is being served Wednesday through Friday, 5:00
- 9:00; with lunch and dinner on Saturday and Sunday, beginning at
noon until 9:00. Check out the
menu, then stop by soon and
sample some of the delicious dishes on the menu. |

Fairhope Yacht Club sailed to victory at
the Gulf Yachting Association Offshore Challenge Cup hosted by
Pensacola Yacht Club June 22-24, making it the only non-Lake
Pontchartrain yacht club to twice win the title. FYC also won
Challenge Cup in 2004. .
